Behind the scenes
A circus is a kingdom with clowns, performing animals and acrobats. And this kingdom as many others has its own little known stories. Here are the part of them.
The artists dislike the expression "to play in public". They say it is a market woman who plays in public, but it is they who work. None of the real circus worker turns one’s back to the circus ring. While during the performance the artists are preparing for their entry to the circus arena nobody crosses their way. Seeds are also forbidden — there would be no good box-office returns. Every circus artist has one’s own rituals which help to avoid excessive worrying before performing. If someone fails to make a trick it should be done until it goes without a hitch otherwise someone would be never able to make it.
Circus dynasties
A circus troupe is a little state which has its own laws, people and traditions. Very often the circus artists also marry in their own state. But there are the exceptions, for example, Wolter Zapashny went on tour in Izhevsk and met his wife right here.
The circus artists always go on tour together with their circus family. Pregnancy is not a trouble as well as babies. Sometimes children are born practically in a circus as it happened with a famous animal trainer Nikolay Svirsky. He was born in Izhevsk during his parents’ tour.
Children grow up right near the arena, and at the age of 5-6 they participate in acrobatic feats. This is how the dynasties appear.
Animals
The most frequent question animal trainers are asked about is what they inject the animals so that they allow taking pictures with them. The matter is that the animals grow up with their trainer side by side and fully acknowledge him or her as their leader. Very much depends on character of a vermin, not every tiger or lion will allow you taking pictures.
Safety equipment
Many acrobats do not like working with safety equipment, but it is necessary to assess soundly the risk during the performing of dangerous feats. No one can feel secured against unforeseen situations that may happen due to defect of the equipment. That is why everything concerning security is given special attention in our circus.

Psychological state of the artists plays an important role in the performing of dangerous feats. Sometimes it happens so that one of the artists' nearest and dearest is in the hospital, or the artist himself is injured, but they cannot ruin the show and they do not want to. So they perform smiling to please the audience despite everything.
